This is how the “About Us” section on the website of the Dutch brand extreme cashmere begins. With 25 years of experience working with cashmere, the brand’s founders have created products from it that you can literally live in 365 days a year, 24/7. And it’s not just about the highest quality and practicality of the fabric, but also about the models that the brand creates — from the already familiar cashmere sweatshirts and oversized sweaters to pants, T-shirts, T-shirts and even underwear.
Anyone who has worn cashmere at least once will confirm that there is simply no softer and more pleasant material to the body. We think the same way and below we will tell you what advantages cashmere fabric has, why cashmere is needed not only in summer and why we cannot imagine comfortable everyday life without extreme cashmere clothing.
Why cashmere?
In its products, extreme cashmere uses the wool of cashmere goats, which live in small populations in the Chinese mountainous region of Inner Mongolia. It is the harsh climate of this region (in winter the temperature can drop to -50°C) that contributes to the formation of a soft, thick undercoat in the goats, which allows the animals to survive the harshest cold. With the onset of warmth, in late spring, when the undercoat is no longer needed by the goats, they are combed to obtain cashmere yarn - carefully, ethically and exclusively by hand. All fine fibers are sorted by length and to produce the highest quality cashmere, the longest fibers are selected, from which the fabric for the products is obtained.
It is important to mention the seemingly incompatible qualities of cashmere: it is very soft, delicate and warm, but at the same time durable. This fabric is 8 times warmer than wool, and thanks to the hollow fibers that create air thermal protection, it is also very light. Moreover, due to the structure of the fiber, cashmere does not cause any unpleasant sensations when worn, it does not itch and is hypoallergenic, so it can be worn even by babies. This is truly gentle warmth.
Why 24/7?
We are used to the fact that cashmere is exclusively sweaters and scarves in black and white or pastel shades. However, extreme cashmere went further and made literally all wardrobe items from cashmere, for any season and any occasion, in dozens of colors - from the usual gray and brown to banana yellow, sky blue and heart red. You can wear a cashmere T-shirt and tie a sweater on top instead of a scarf, or wear a sweater and a T-shirt on top. You can choose a set of cashmere pants and a T-shirt - monochrome or mix. In the end, you can put together a total cashmere look: wear panties or a bodysuit, shorts, pants or a skirt, a T-shirt or a sweater, or both. And the thrill is that you can go somewhere in all this, or you can stay at home - and in both cases you will be warm and as comfortable as possible. You can even sleep in cashmere - try it, and no pajamas will ever replace it for you.
What about care?
After the previous paragraph, you might have been scared that such a special fabric requires special care — that’s true, but only partially. Experimenting with adding synthetic materials to cashmere, the brand’s founders found the formula for the perfect cashmere product — they added a small percentage of elastane to the fabric. This is how they got a completely new material: let’s not be afraid of the word, extremely warm, extremely durable, and, importantly, one that loves water very much (not dry cleaning!). We are not fans of the supernatural, but we believe that when washed, cashmere gives up not only all the dust and dirt, but also bad energy to the water. Wash it in a washing machine according to the instructions, which are also the tag for each product. Let it rest between wearings, and easily remove any lumps that appear with the help of a special brush that comes with any item of the brand — and it will serve you forever. A little story that explains a lot
Most of the brands represented in our store are connected by personal stories — extreme cashmere is no exception. A few years ago, while walking through Paris, we came across a window that we simply couldn't pass by: there were two mannequins sitting in it — a male and a female — dressed from head to toe in cashmere. They were wearing pants, shorts, a dress, a sweater, a T-shirt, a cardigan, scarves, hats — there were like "cashmere" people in the window. We entered the showroom — we were met by four beautiful girls from the extreme cashmere team, got to know us and, as is usually the case, gave us a tour. We were completely delighted and, of course, decided to place an order for Ogonyok. During the conversation, our manager, Vika Kobelyeva, shared with the brand team that for the first time in her life, her suitcase had been lost on the way to Paris and she had absolutely nothing to wear. And you know what? Without thinking twice, one of the showroom managers took the sweater off the mannequin and handed it to Vika with the words: “This is your sweater, please put it on and wear it, it’s quite cool in Paris. We will include it in the invoice, pay when you return to Odessa.” Since then, our main constant association with the brand is care. Vika adores this sweater and wears it to this day, and extreme cashmere has always been in our store since then to take care of our people — because they loved it no less than we did.
New collection
There will be no announcement of a new collection here, because all extreme cashmere clothing is one big collection, out of seasons. Four times a year, the brand presents a new edition, consisting of 15 styles that contain new colors and designs and join into a single collection.
